Rise in Second Quarter Sales At Procter & Gamble

The Procter & Gamble Company reported net sales growth of 9% to $21.6 billion for the second quarter. Net earnings grew 14 % to $3.3 billion. According to the company, sales were up behind strong volume growth from continued success on key product initiatives and double-digit organic growth in developing regions. For the full year ending Dec. 31, 2007, net sales rose 8% to $41.8 billion, with a 14% increase in net earnings to $6.3 billion....
